Legal requirements after installing a radio remote control on lifting machinery
Contact the competent local supervisory authority to determine whether documentation must be provided and, if so, which documents are required.
Note: the documents attached here are templates that may be used if requested.
Local supervisory authorities
The documentation requested by the supervisory authority responsible for the machine normally has to be sent by registered mail with return receipt.
It is always advisable to keep a copy of all documentation.
Practical advice
- The radio remote control’s Type, Model, and Serial No. are shown on its technical data plate.
- For rented equipment, the documentation mentioned above must be submitted by the user of the radio remote control.
- When the local supervisory authority’s technician carries out the inspection, the following documents must be available on site:
- the radio remote control user manual;
- the radio remote control EC Declaration of Conformity;
- the technical data sheet bearing the installer’s stamp and signature.
The “Radio Remote Control Installation Notice” and the “Installer’s Declaration” can be downloaded in the attached document.
This documentation should also be used for multi-transmitter or multi-receiver radio remote control systems.
